Dr. James Edward Oaks, D.M.D.

Dr. Oaks graduated from George Rogers Clark High. He is a graduate of Transylvania University and the University of Louisville Dental School. Dr. Oaks has been providing dental care in Winchester for over 20 years.

The state requires dentists to take a Continuing Education course each year. Dr. Oaks takes two or three times the amount required. This allows the current techniques in a rapidly changing field to be used in Winchester. He also is a member of a group from 5 states that meets monthly in Cincinnati for general discussion of dentistry. Dr. Oaks takes advanced training classes and takes the staff when appropriate. He feels the staff is the most important part of the practice.

Dr. Oaks is married to Dr. Cecilia Thomas, a pediatrician at Lexington Clinic. He has two daughters; Morgan, a graduate of Villanova University and Mary is in the 7th grade.
